Mykonos Greece

The most famous of the Greek islands and currently one of Europe's hippest vacation destinations. It is not so much the island, even though its beaches are famous throughout Greece, but the atmosphere. Like Ibiza, there is something in the air and it attracts Greeks and non-Greeks alike.

The most cosmopolitan of the Greek islands, Mykonos offers beautiful sandy beaches (considered to be the best in the Cyclades), wonderful views, good food and a legendary party scene. It is an island suitable for children as well as adults with most people staying at home by the pool or on a beach during the day and venturing out to the town's restaurants and nightclubs at night.

Mykonos, however, is not just for hedonists. Visit the archaeological site on the adjacent island of Delos, sail away to secluded beaches nearby, or relax by the pool watching the sun set and you will find that Mykonos can offer one of the more relaxing holiday experiences. Winds are often strong and depending on their direction one chooses one's beach, one's sail, and one's restaurants.
