A view of the heavens

This is one of the finest villas available for rent in Formentera (20 minutes from Ibiza by boat). It is perched above a cliff looking out over the whole island. Recently remodelled by its owners, it is open, airy, and lots of fun. It has a small pool but otherwise you will want to take advantage of Formentera's many sandy beaches, some of which must rank among the best in Europe.

You reach the house through a lovely garden path. Each of the bedrooms is spacious and designed with a bent for the contemporary, although with a lot of warmth. Note that bathrooms are "open": in other words they form part of the bedroom and are not separate. Lots of space and a very cosy living area.
